BAPEX

Had to go out for some retail therapy yesterday and stumbled into the Japan Centre. Came across the latest BAPE catalogue which comes with a 13cm x 13cm big wall clock, sweet. I managed NOT to buy it which is a good thing and cheered me up with some sweet SWEAT after resisting the temptation.
If anyone wants to grab one though, there were about three left for 30£ a pop...

BAPE book hype heating up!
I like what I see so far... ahhh... this book will show the Haterz why BAPE was the hottest shit on the block! I say "was" as the recent exposure killed the secret underground appeal BAPE used to have for many headz, which is a shame. Personally I can't wait for the book to drop...
Still London BAPE soldiers can look forward to a London Edition of the book in the special red and blue UK Camo and maybe even an appearance by the Nigmeister himself. Let's keep those paws crossed!

BAPEtastic...

Ahhh... we came a long way together. I can still remember when MoWax released the first UNKLE record and every Hypebeast tried to hunt down the impossibly rare BAPE gear James Lavelle was wearing. Now UNKLE is a rock band with sweating indie boys and girls in the moshpit and Nigo grew his BAPE empire together with Darth Pharrell to unknown heights of fashion Bling Bling.
While it certainly lost it's underground appeal, I still get excited about this new book. 15 years in the geek game needs to be celebrated! Can't wait to put on some old MoWax records and flip the pages of what looks like the ultimate BAPE bible...
So let's just hope Number Two will make the trek over to London as well so we can all get out our camo hoodies amd queue up one last time...

Teriyaki Boys and the Too Fast Too Furious franchise are both guilty pleasures of mine. Both collide in my latest animation... enjoy :)

Yesssssir!
The great thing about such events is that one can let go of any cynicism and just embrace geekdom in all its wonderful glory! Whatever people might say against the P and his posse, these dudes produced some damn dopes music and keep on integrating fresh shit while others still rinse the same old formulars. Nuff said!

wait... I know this guy... i have seen him before... somewhere....

*HOLLA* Mission accomplished...

BAPE Opening Party Shibuya
Blogging live and direct from Tokyo / Japan!
Now, whats is doper and more geeky than attending a BAPE party with this line up while being in the centre of Nigos Ape-pire? Not much! Nuff said, that was one of the best parties ever I attended, thanks to Nigo and Chat Hugo spinning freestyle party hits from Chemical Brothers to Deee Lite and Teriyaki Boys / Pharrell just killing it live. Especially Pharrells excursion into old NERD belters like "Lapdance" send the crowd stellar and me moshing through rows of aped out Tokyonites. Fucking sugoi indeed!!!

Headz knew!

Although he looks like he was No.1 cool guy on the night, he wasn't. He was No.2 cool guy! Still an achievement when basing his outfit on the terrible DCxBAPE collabo.

Aahh! Pharrell!!!!

Either he didnt get the memo or Skatething is on some ill shit next season...

BBC Icecream Summer/Spring 08 sneak preview
Lucky me was able to infiltrate Style H.Q. to indulge into some Billionaire Boys Club / Icecream pre-order madness!

I must admit that Season 6 fucking rocks! Lots of nice colorways and subtle details while still featuring dominant bling patterns ( diamonds and dollars *holla* ) and in your face prints. There is also a strong Las Vegas theme with neon lights / poker card prints and embroidery. Nice!

Available at The Hideout
P.S: Talking about BBC retailspaces... can't wait to check out the Icecream store in Tokyo as the new one in Hong Kong looks out of this world... damn! Head over to Hypebeast for some sweet pics...
